Diagram Pipeline

One chain, four steps: a picture of a diagram → editable Mermaid → a draw.io file → an Excel flow register of every hop (from & to application, interface mechanism) joined to a manual application → database → platform reference.

1 Input — image or Mermaid

Upload a diagram image to convert it with vision AI (sent to the AI service), or skip straight to step 2 by pasting Mermaid below.

Select a diagram image
PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF, or SVG (≤ 6 MB). Mermaid / draw.io SVGs are read directly (lossless); other SVGs are rasterised for vision AI.
Select an image, or paste Mermaid in step 2.

2 Mermaid — edit, then render

3 draw.io — generated from the Mermaid above

Layout is a simple layered placement — open it in diagrams.net and run Arrange → Layout for an auto-tidy. Shapes follow the Mermaid (databases [(…)] become cylinders); colours are applied by inferred node type (set types in step 4). The Mermaid itself stays faithful to the source.

4 Flow register → Excel

Each hop (one connection) becomes a row: from node, interface mechanism (the edge label), to node. Not every box is an application — diagrams often include strategies, objectives, people, or projects. Set each node's type below (auto-classified from its swimlane) so the export tags From Type / To Type, and add a database / technology platform where it applies. Saved in your browser and joined into the export.
